It takes a while before things thaw from the deeply cold winter freeze. Flowers don't bloom on the first day of spring. The sun must shine consistently to coax beauty from the earth.

Dolly was a woman of many Really Big talents. 

But I think her greatest power rested in her ability to turn a phrase. She was a really powerful writer of songs, and what made them great was she was unwaveringly authentic. You always knew who she was and where she came from. And, an all around good human being to boot.
