RIP Vanity (Denise Katrina Matthews)

While her music career was short lived and she did not really have much of an impact on the music industry, she had a major impact on me.  Her biggest claim to fame was as one of Prince's dalliances.

But she did set the stage for the sexy seductress songbird (I'm looking at you Beyonce).  It's only because of her that I know the word camisole.

Lawd, was that woman fine.

I even managed to finagle my way back stage at a Prince concert once.  But the girls were long gone before they would even think of letting me pass.

Reports are that she had things in her life figured out before she died.

I hope she was at peace.
